A family practice Maple Ridge is looking for a motivated, reliable, MOA to join their team. Along with your certification, you would ideally have a few years of experience in a clinic but new graduates are welcome to apply. You love working as part of a team in order to provide excellent patient care. You get on well with patients and physicians who believe you as someone who can be depended on. This is a varied position covering all aspects of the MOA's role.
Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Scheduling patients
Scheduling investigations
Maintaining electronic patient files (uploading letters and results)
Sending out consult and referral letters
Maintaining relationships with specialist offices
Checking-in patients
Answering / triaging patient phone calls
Monitoring and ordering supplies
Maintenance of patient confidentiality
Billing reconciliations
May need to explain investigations and test preparation (simple terms)
Efficient use of MedAccess
REQUIREMENTS:??
This position requires an efficient, well-organized, individual with excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. Completing a Medical Office Assistant program from a recognized institution is mandatory and an intermediate level ability on computer systems.
